We love all things Hawksmoor, his churches are national treasures and none more so than the spectacular Christ Church in London’s Spitalfields. Standing at 62m this imposing building dominates the local area. With fantastic geometry one can’t help but marvel at this wonderful structure – to us it shouts “London”.

Christ Church was completed in 1729, it was one of 50 new churches commissioned by Parliament to provide places of worship to rapidly expanding areas of the city. Hawksmoor’s budget was £7,000 however the project went wildly over budget and ended up costing £40,000. Despite being well loved the church fell into disrepair and came close to being demolished in the 1950’s. Thankfully the “Hawksmoor Committee” formed and save it.

Our model is of the front facade including central spire. It comes complete with a glass dome.

Each of our architectural sculptures is handmade in our studio in Sussex, England. They are made of strong plaster that has a reassuring weight and smooth, cool feel. Stylish ornaments, gifts or presents that are handmade in Britain and look fabulous on a desk, shelf or wall.
