The Willow Tearooms are probably the most famous of Glasgow’s many tearooms that opened around the beginning of the 20th century. They were designed entirely by Charles Rennie Mackintosh: he designed the interior, the furniture, internal layout and external architecture as well as the cutlery, menus and the waitress uniforms. The Willow Tearooms are on Sauchiehall Street. The name “Sauchiehall” is derived from “saugh”, the Scottish word for a willow tree. This provided the initial design ideas for Mackintosh and his patron Miss Cranston. Willow was the basis of the name for the tearooms and many of the decorative motifs. Our architectural sculpture is of the asymmetric facade.

Each of our architectural sculptures is handmade in our studio in Sussex, England. They are made of strong plaster that has a reassuring weight and smooth, cool feel. The window frames and door are made of etched brass. Stylish ornaments, gifts or presents that are handmade in Britain and look fabulous on a desk, shelf or wall.

Address: Willow Tearooms, 217 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, G2 3EX, Scotland.

Sustainably Crafted

We all want the world to be a better place. We are trying to do our bit. We reuse, recycle and use less where we can. We search out sustainable local suppliers. We sponsor grassroots sports for the local youth, donating both money and time. We sponsor local environmental projects. We know we can do more but we're making a start!

Handmade

We hand make all of our models. Chisel & Mouse is the combination of an artisan’s approach (the chisel) with modern innovation and transformative technologies (the mouse). By capturing life and its big ideas in miniature, the brand celebrates the beauty of our industrialised world.

Max from Singapore

A model of Singapore would be fantastic. Either the Orchard Road area, or Business District + Marina Bay.

frank from glasgow

Why would they do Parkhead? The models are of  buildings of beauty and design, which Parkhead is not!
