London is one of the world's oldest great cities. It grew from three centres: the Roman settlement in the 1st century on the northern banks of the Thames, now known as "the City"; Southwark on the southern banks; and Westminster upstream. London expanded rapidly. The Great Fire of 1666 led to the proposal of many radical rebuilding schemes but these came to little. Instead London was rebuilt piecemeal driven by capitalism and housing demands. London's population passed one million by 1800 and had reached 6.5 million a century later. Its structure is immensely complicated and there is little discernible form. Unsurprisingly it is not characterised by any particular architectural style with its buildings having been amassed over such a long period of time.
This 3d map of London, at a scale of 1:2500, is of "the City" - London's hub of trade, commerce, and banking. It is made up of nine 200mm x 200mm tiles. The model is mounted in a simple wooden frame and can wall hang or be displayed on a desk or table top.
We all want the world to be a better place. We are trying to do our bit. We reuse, recycle and use less where we can. We search out sustainable local suppliers. We sponsor grassroots sports for the local youth, donating both money and time. We sponsor local environmental projects. We know we can do more but we're making a start!
We hand make all of our models. Chisel & Mouse is the combination of an artisan’s approach (the chisel) with modern innovation and transformative technologies (the mouse).
By capturing life and its big ideas in miniature, the brand celebrates the beauty of our industrialised world.

My Shankly Gates arrived safe and sound earlier today and I bloody love them!A lifelong Liverpool fan and born and raised about fifteen miles away from where Shankly came from in Ayrshire so I'm a very happy boy! Thank you to you and your team for such a wonderful piece which I shall cherish.
Bought the Amsterdam ‘Blue River’ model. The quality is superb. Level of detail on the model is phenomenal, I’m sure I’ll be making a collection of these. Buy one you won’t regret it! Just an idea I would like to see some more UK cities added like Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh…
I THINK THAT A MODEL OF THE DE LA WARR PAVILION IN BEXHILL WOULD BE ENORMOUSLY POPULAR ( I NOTE THAT YOU HAVE DONE THE MARINE COURT IN ST LEONARDS - I LIVED IN HASTINGS AND ST LEONARDS AS A CHILD AND TEENAGER IN THE 50S AND 60S AND MY FATHER WAS DEPUTY BOROUGH ENGINEER WHO RESCUED AN ORIGINAL OAK DOOR FROM ONE OF THE MARINE COURT'S REFURBISHMENTS AND TURNED IT INTO AN OAK , SADLY NO LONGER WITH US, NEITHER NOR FATHER - TO MY MIND THE PAVILION IS FAR MORE ICONIC AND WE COULD DO WITH THE BENEFIT OF YOUR EXPERTISE TO A BEAUTIFUL MODEL OF THAT GLORIOUS PIECE OF ART DECO CONSTRUCTION). THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION.
Thanks for your email. Beautiful workmanship! Very happy.
Just got my Carreras factory model and I couldn't be happier! I had visited it in person a number of years ago when I was in London and thought it was impressive in both scale and design. I have many pictures from that visit but it is great to have in a 3-D version that I see every day.
Please consider adding the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the centerpiece of New York's Rockefeller Plaza, and the brilliant statue of Prometheus directly in front of the main entrance. I believe these would be welcome additions to your outstanding offerings.
Received the Firestone Factory, Brentford model and it's as good as I had hoped for. If anything it's better! Thanks very much.
