Mornington Crescent station was built in 1907. It is situated at the southern end of London's Camden Town and serves the Northern Underground Line. The iconic design for this station was conceived by the great architect Leslie Green.

The station has had a chequered past, being so poorly maintained that it almost closed for good in the 1990's.

Mornington Crescent has always had a special place in the hearts of BBC Radio 4 listeners, as the show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue features a game with the same name.

Chisel & Mouse have created a sculpture of the main facade of this iconic building, the quintessential London tube station. Each sculpture is individually hand crafted in our studio in Sussex, England. They are made of strong plaster that has a reassuring weight and smooth, cool feel. The window frame and railings are made of etched brass. Stylish ornaments, gifts or presents that are handmade in Britain and look fabulous on a desk, shelf or wall.

FARRINGDON STATION

4in high, 11.5in wide, 2.5in deep & 4.8lb approximately.

Charles W. Clark's design for Farringdon Station is striking, long and sleek. The building is instantly recognisable. Clark was central to the design of much of London Underground's architecture.

Farringdon is currently undergoing major re-sculpting as the station is set to become the main interchange between the new Crossrail and Thameslink projects in 2018.

Whether the new development puts pay to the rumours of ghosts and haunting remains to be seen. It is said that the screams of Anne Naylor, murdered in 1758 can still be heard as the last train leaves the station at night!

Chisel & Mouse have created a sculpture of the main facade of this beautiful building, another quintessential London tube station.

SUDBURY TOWN STATION
SUDBURY TOWN STATION

6in high, 11.5in wide, 2.5in deep & 4.5lb approximately.

Sudbury Town Station was opened in 1931. It was designed by the legendary Charles Holden, one of the 'big three' architects responsible for London Underground's stunning buildings. He designed many stations in the same period such as Acton Town, Arnos Grove and Southgate station, which he modestly likened them to "brick boxes with concrete lids"!

Our sculpture reflects the simplicity and uniformity that makes Sudbury Town Station so eyecatching and appealing.

Address: Station Approach, London, HA0 2LA, England.
