Designed by Erno Goldfinger and completed in 1939 1-3 Willow Road is a stunning modernist terrace of three houses in London's Hampstead. It was built by Goldfinger for himself and his family. He lived at number 2 until his death in 1987. Goldfinger used many ground breaking techniques such as a concrete frame, folding doors and moveable partitions, so creating a spacious uncluttered interior with flexible, bright and comfortable living space. It has been managed by the National Trust since 1995 and is open to the public.
